new rider need rear tire help

whats up guys, im new to the forum and new to dirt bikes. i just traded quad for an 06 crf 250. after getting it home i realized that 5 of the spokes have been ripped out of the back wheel. one of my buddys hooked me up with a rim and spokes from his cr 250 which is a 2.15. i got the wheel relaced, and now i want to get a new tire, my question is can i run a 100 tire on a 2.15 rim? or should i go with the 110 that he runs on his cr? i will be mostly trail riding... for now.

personally i prefer a wider tire. i would go with a 110. i run a 120 on my 450 and i ride primarily trails and desert hard pack

Hello and welcome to the forum. Wider tires would be a good purchase, as long as there is no major issue such as rubbing, size 110 will a great pick. For, it would surely add better grip, traction and stability in your trailing activities and rides. I found a site that could offer free shipping and good discount plus great information on what tire to choose, hope it could help you choose on what tire to get. Here is the site; http://4wheelonline.com/motorcycle/.

I think a wider tire will be best for your ride.SIze 110 will be great People might say it robs some power from the little thumper, but I can't notice it. Maybe the pros can but not me. The bigger tire lasts a bit longer and hooks up better IMO.
